Massagesessel Welt in Weinstadt near Stuttgart is always up for a good deed. In 2021, the innovative company, which operates a second branch in Leverkusen, enabled the staff of a nursing home to use a massage chair. This came about thanks to the Hope Bearer Award, which was presented to the home by the Evangelical Community Association of Württemberg (Apis). The nursing staff at the Schönblick home in Schwäbisch Gmünd(www.schoenblick.de) received the award on behalf of all nursing staff in Germany.

Care can be important for each of us

Michael Roedeske, the owner of Massage Chair World, is particularly pleased that the prize was offered to the staff of a nursing home: "Nursing is a profession that truly not everyone can take on, but which everyone may have to do one day," he says. For him, massage chairs are an investment in health: "The little time out that you can treat yourself to with them is enormously important - and equally so for body and mind. I am all the more pleased when employers think of their employees and visibly appreciate their work by using a massage chair," says the entrepreneur. The Hope Award is reserved for people who show social commitment. The idea to purchase a massage chair for the caregivers came to the home manager of Haus Schönblick, Anja Kontermann. It was important to her to be able to provide a well-suited model. She quickly found what she was looking for at Massagesessel Welt. The employees immediately took the chair to their hearts and are happy about the benefit for their backs and the warmth that lets them forget the daily routine for a short time.

Massage chairs are also used for residents of retirement and nursing homes. "For old or demented people, joyful moments are often rare. The small moment in a massage chair can work wonders," knows the specialist Manuela Radu, whose customers include numerous retirement homes. Here, Massagesessel Welt relies on the high-quality models Senator, PremiumFlex and Vita from AllgäuTech, one of the last companies to produce in Germany.
