Kangtai Industry was founded in 1984 in Zhaoyuan, China, and is one of the few actual producers of massage chairs. A milestone in Kangtai's history was the development of a massage robot in 2008 that utilised the benefits of traditional Chinese medicine and was included as a key project in the "Chinese National 863" programme.
